Betsy was born and raised in California and spent most of her adolescent years showing Quarter Horses. Before moving to Kansas to support her husband's career in the United States Army, she also lived in Virginia, Texas, North Dakota, Alaska, Georgia, and Missouri. Betsy is honored to be a military spouse and grateful for opportunities to live all over the United States, which have offered invaluable experiences working with culturally diverse populations. She and her husband, Lee, adore their children, treasure time with friends, and love gathering around the table with relatives to enjoy homemade meals. Betsy and Lee proudly share their home with two sweet and spoiled pups!Betsy has always been drawn to helping people and has a special place in her heart for young children, families, and those diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities. She appreciates and values the importance of individualized high-quality, person-centered experiences and advocacy for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Her work history includes supporting organizations and individuals to improve the quality of early care and education practices and advancing professional development initiatives. Notably, Betsy’s career highlights the establishment of model early childhood education environments in Anchorage, Alaska, and nationally accredited home and community-based service programs for disabled individuals in Savannah, Georgia.Betsy’s transformational leadership approach and positive, collaborative disposition are a natural fit for coaching teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. Her credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology. Additionally, Betsy has received training from T. Berry Brazelton on the Touchpoints Model of Development and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's prestigious Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. She is fascinated by human behavior and deeply passionate about mental health. Betsy hopes her empathetic and service-focused approach to building and maintaining strong and mutually respectful relationships helps others to reach their fullest potential.
