Summer is a great time of year for fruit and vegetable smoothies! A cold smoothie on a hot summer day is a perfect nutritious snack for you and your child! Smoothies deliver a concentrated dose of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Smoothies retain beneficial dietary fiber, which aids in digestion, supports heart health, and promotes a feeling of fullness. You can always add 1-2 Tbsp of chia, oats, Greek yogurt, or flax meal to any smoothie to increase fiber and protein content. You can even put your mix in popsicle molds or teethers to enjoy at a later time! Try these smoothies this summer.
