Good hygiene starts with simple routines! Our team and students follow our policy of washing hands upon entering a classroom. Throughout the day, our educators model and encourage handwashing before meals, after outdoor play, sensory play, and after diapering or restroom use. These small habits make a big difference in reducing the spread of germs.
Our youngest learners deserve extra care and protection. In our infant classrooms, we require the use of foot covers to maintain a clean floor environment where babies crawl, explore, and play. We also sanitize mouthed toys immediately after use to ensure that everything your infant touches is clean and safe.
Crèche Day School strictly follows KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment) and NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) standards for cleaning and sanitation. This means our classrooms, toys, and high-touch surfaces are disinfected multiple times throughout the day and again after hours using child-safe products and approved methods.
We believe that open communication builds a stronger, healthier community. When a contagious illness is reported in a classroom, families are notified with an illness notice. This transparency allows parents to monitor symptoms at home and make informed decisions about attendance.
We incorporate health and wellness into daily routines through songs, stories, and gentle reminders during Health & Fitness lessons with Ms. Erin. Whether it’s covering coughs, practicing handwashing, or choosing healthy foods, children learn that taking care of themselves also means taking care of their friends.
Fresh air does wonders for little immune systems! We prioritize daily outdoor play whenever weather allows. Outdoor time gives children space to move, breathe, and release energy, all while reducing the spread of germs that linger indoors.
