This month, we’re celebrating 8 incredible years at Crèche Day School – Heritage Square! Over the years, we’ve had the joy of welcoming so many wonderful families through our doors, and today we’re excited to shine a spotlight on one of our very first: the Suther family. Their story beautifully reflects the heart of what Crèche is all about, community, care, growth, and lifelong connections.
The Suthers were among the very first families to enroll at Heritage Square, giving them a unique perspective on the center’s journey.
“Being one of the first families enrolled at Crèche at Heritage Square gave us such a unique point of view. Being there for the early days meant we saw so much progress, innovation, and improvement at the center throughout the years. They had attended a daycare center before, so we weren’t new to the experience itself, but moving to a new town and finding new childcare is a huge stressor for a family. I worried constantly about making the wrong choice in a childcare provider, but little did we know we were making one of the best decisions we could make for our family with Crèche."

What they discovered at Crèche was more than they expected, a level of care, trust, and attention to detail that put them at ease.
“Crèche was more than we could ever ask for in a childcare provider. They consistently showed a level of attention to detail that allowed us to put our full faith and trust into their educators, administration and staff. As a working mom, there isn’t a greater gift than to be able to drop my kids off… and know that for the next several hours they are going to be safe, happy and thriving. I knew their day was going to be filled with learning and FUN and I would get to pick them up and hear about their great adventures. I loved to hear how excited they were to make a new friend, show me their art project and tell me about playing in the multi-purpose room.”
The Suther girls loved everything about their time at Crèche, and the bonds formed during those years have lasted well beyond their early childhood.
“Our girls loved Crèche — from their teachers to their friends, it was their favorite place. They stayed at Crèche until they went to Kindergarten and are now in 4th, 5th and 7th grade! It’s so fun to see Crèche families in their schools, and even in the same classrooms, now! Lifelong friendships are made in those walls, and not just for the kids, but for the parents too. We knew they would be ‘ready’ for Kindergarten, knowing all of their letters and numbers, but we didn’t realize how confident they would be in the classroom. Now, they are absolutely thriving in school… all three are reading well above grade level, excel in math and most importantly — LOVE school. Crèche instilled the love of learning young, and we couldn’t be more grateful for that.”
Even years later, the Suther family fondly remembers their days at Heritage Square.
“Although it’s been four years since we’ve been enrolled at Crèche, our kids still point out ‘their old school’ when we drive by. I still smile when I see the playground equipment and those big windows to the multi-purpose room. SO many amazing memories happened in that building and we are so thankful for all Crèche did for our family, and continues to do for our community. We’ll always be proud to be a Crèche family!” – The Suthers
Fast forward to today, and the Suther girls are all grown up, now rocking 4th, 5th, and 7th grade!
The Suther family’s story is a reminder of the impact Crèche has on the lives of children and families long after their preschool years. Their journey with us is one of trust, joy, friendship, and growth, and we are so grateful to celebrate them as part of our history at Heritage Square.
As we look back on the past 8 years, we are reminded of the incredible families who have helped shape our story.
